Can I incorporate a bt mini disc with a mini adapter (connecting the two with an Ethernet cable).

For your disc you would pair it to your main HUB either with an ethernet cable or via the WPS button and then once its paired you would move it to where you need to.

Not sure what kind of adapter you mean here but in general adapters don't have too much to do with complete WIFI discs. The only adapters I can think of with an ethernet cable which BT supply are the set of 2 you can get to connect a TV box but those work as a pair and the cable would go from the top of the plug into the HUB at one end and the TV Box at the other

Yes that's the adapter I'm talking about, they are not just for TVs and work like other powerlines

I just needed to check you can run a disc off one via a ethernet cable

I have the adapter not the disk, so don’t want to waste money buying a disc (whole home I believe it’s called), if it won’t work with the adapter

I would always use the adapter from the main hub at one end then the device you need to connect at the other.

Good morning @Tomg35 😊

I think what @Manatarms84 is suggesting here is that if you use a powerline adapter, it's best to just connect this directly to whatever device you're looking to extend the range for via ethernet.

The Complete WiFi discs do support a wired connection, so in theory you can connect these through a powerline adapter.

You may notice a reduction in speeds though, as ultimately the connection is still needing to go through your home's circuitry, so unless the position you want to place the disc is out of WiFi range, you may find WiFi faster.
