Good morning @schase56!

Am I reading this correctly in that swapping to using your other extender in the same location resulted in the same issues?

If that's the case then we can most likely assume that it's not linked the to the device, but instead to something else on your network.

Could there be anything located nearby that's causing interference, be it a device with a competing frequency, or something physical like walls, furniture or lighting?

Mini Connector low data speed

I've been using a couple of BT Mini Connectors installed in my lounge/dining room for several years. The primary one (providing Ethernet for my primary computer) is showing low data speed (flashing red light), meaning it can't provide an Ethernet connection right now. This has happened on occasion, but a reset (either the Mini Connector power or router) usually fixes it. Note that the second Mini Connector doesn't exhibit low data speeds.

Today, nothing has worked: rebooting router, powering down the Mini Connector, factory resetting the Connector, swapping it with the other one in the room.

Is there anything else I could do short of moving the connector to another wall socket? Not really an option due to the location of mains wall sockets in the room.

I'm still hoping that this low data speed might be temporary and things might return to normal soon (later today or tomorrow?).

Thanks for your reply.

Silly me! I had forgotten that there's a primary Mini Connector connected directly to the router and the Openreach wall hub by the front door (low down and hidden by a bench, so easy to miss). That one appeared to be the culprit; a simple power cycle on the Mini Connector (+ router) fixed the problem. 😁
