Unfortunately 3 days after switching off random MAC addresses and another factory reset its gone down again. I can only think the hub has developed a fault

The speed isn't great either - 174mb in the same room as the hub via my phone

Hi

We have Full Fibre with complete WiFi (3 discs). Smart hub 2

The connection has been rock solid since 2021 when it was installed

Over the last month though we've been having daily dropouts. All devices lose connection at the same time. Switching the hub off and back on fixes the problem until the following day when it happens again, usually late at night around 11pm but sometimes at other times of day.

It doesn't reconnect on its own. Lights on the hub and discs will be blue throughout.

We don't have any devices connected via ethernet to test that

Connection refresh and factory reset of hub give us longer between dropouts (3 days)

Any ideas?

It might be this that is causing the problem.

If you have any wireless devices that use "random MAC addresses" go into their settings and turn it off.

See link. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/security/secb9cb3140c/web

When its turned on it uses up all the MAC addresses on the hub and due to poor software on the hub it does not clear them and as a result devices can get dropped.

I've changed the setting on both my iPhone and iPad. Let's see if it works!

Used the live chat today and they are sending out a replacement cable that runs from the openreach modem to the hub. Apparently the one we have is not the best and could be causing the disconnections and slow WiFi. I have an open complaint, the cable will be here on Wednesday so I'll give that a try and see
