I have a few Amazon echo devices and also the new SH3 and have not had any problems with echo devices connecting. Does your echo devices 'see' the hub WiFi and just don't connect after entering the password?

Hi, can anyone please offer any suggestions on connecting amazon echo devices to bt smart hub 3. Amazon have confirmed there's no issues with my devices, so the problem must be with BT. Factory reset and deregistering the echo devices has not worked neither has turning off the 5ghz turning off the smarthome set up and factory resetting the hub. Any help gratefully

Easiest option would probably be to change the SSID/password of the SH3 to match the previous router.

I took them to a different address and connected them there without any issues (non BT ISP)

If you have the new SH3 then I would try activating the compatible WiFi and then try and connect to the 2.4ghz which will have a different SSID and WiFi password to the main WiFi and see if that helps

As I said at outset I have various Amazon devices and have not had any problem connecting to my main WiFi on the new SH3

Hi jmjolly,

I will certainly give your idea regarding setting up my devices a go. A little bit more information regarding the situation. Since testing them at a different address and confirming no issues with the devices, I have attempted to connect them again at my home, still without any luck. The only difference is that the devices are now occasionally/randomly notifying me of my reminders and activating parts of my routines; plus those with screens are showing limited information etc suggesting I think partial/intermittent wifi connectivity. Yet at no point will any of the devices respond to voice commands. When spoken to each device gives me the same answer as follows

Sorry I am having trouble understanding right now please try a little later.

You could also try setting the 2.4ghz WiFi channel to a specific channel and not smart and see it that helps. You cannot set the 5ghz wifi to specific channel
