I didn't, so I've set the 2.4GHz channel to one of the three offered, rather than smart.

I'll see if that helps.

Thank you!

Weather Station link keeps going down with Smarthub SH32B

I've recently started using the BT Smarthub SH32B with my fibre broadband and am finding that my Ecowitt WS2910 weather station keeps going offline and needs re-linking to the network. It never happened with my previous supplier.

I used this forum's advice to disable the 5GHz wireless until it was properly set up before restoring the 5Ghz.

The wireless for the phones sometime drops occassionally too.

Do I need a router diagnostic or a setting change?

Thanks for looking at my question.

did you set the 2.4ghz wifi to a specific channel instead of smart channel when you tried disabling the 5ghz. you cannot set the 5ghz to a specific channel

If that has not work then try setting the SH3 compatible 2.4ghz channel to on then try connecting your device to the wifi which has a different SSID and password and see if that helps

As per as has been suggest by @imjolly try using the wireless compatibility settings.

The message on the Smarthub 3 states the following which may enable your device to connect

"Enables a separately named WiFi network that uses older technologies to improve device compatibility. If you own devices that will not connect to the main WiFi network, then you can try connecting them to the Compatible WiFi Network instead. Depending on device capability, WiFi performance may be reduced when connected to the Compatible WiFi Network".

Thanks for that.

The weather station has stayed online since I removed to the smart channel setting this morning - on for about 10 hours. If it goes down again, I'll look at using compatible wifi settings. Might need some help with that, but I'll monitor it for the time being.
