I have had a Smarthub 2 router for some time. I have 2 PCs on a private Windows network, a Samsung TV with freesat box etc and all the i-player buzzers and bells.

I have a printer connected via Wifi

I also have an externally mounted 4G security camera which controlled and monitored by my Samsung A25 5G Galaxy Smartphone via Wifi.

Our 4g signal indicator on the EE Hybrid box never shows more than 1 bar.

I bought a refurbished BT 11AC Wifi extender 1200 on Amazon in an attempt to enhance the connection between the Smartphone and the Camera.

All went relatively well -the extender showed up on the router webpage, and I successfully entered the Extender password to access the EXT-****** network.

When I tried to add the Smartphone to the new network, I used the extender password. This was rejected.

I rang the helpdesk, and the operative concluded that the Extender was faulty.

I unplugged the extender ie switched it off.

It remains in the list of devices on the Router webpage.

How do I remove it from the list? I am running Win 11 25H2 on both computers for what it's worth.

Before I buy another extender, apart from the BT options, which is the most suitable extender for Smarthub?

Our internet is copper cable assisted by the 4G Hybrid box and we are doing well to get 7Mbits/s download and 0.4Mbits upload🤣

If it is grey, you can simply delete it although there is no point in doing so. It's just a list of devices that are connected or have connected to the hub. It serves no real purpose.

Not entirely sure what you are trying to achieve. Presumably you are looking to place a WiFi source closer to the camera. If so, I would suggest WiFi capable powerline adapter and place the slave in a power socket close to the camera. Tp Link devices are recommended

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa4220-kit/
