It's certainly not normal behaviour but unless it happens again, you perhaps need to write it off as one of things.

If it happens again, make a note of the indications on the ONT as well as the hub.

Hello! New here (joined BT a month ago for FF50, DV and wi-fi).

When I got up this morning, I noticed that the wi-fi wasn't working. When I went downstairs, I found that the DV was dead as well, and I couldn't even connect to the Hub from my PC.

This had all happened sometime between about 0300 and 0900 this morning.

The Hub was showing a steady blue light the whole time.

After about half an hour of pondering (mixed with some mild cursing), I found that everything had come back and was OK.

My question, as a newcomer to BT (I was previously on ADSL with PlusNet for 23 years) is; is this the sort of thing which can just happen from time to time (I've seen nothing like this up to now)? Should I write it off as being 'just one of those things', or is this an indication of a deeper issue?

(For clarity: I'm not in an area which has been affected by the storms...yet...)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that, especially for the tip about the ONT. I'm pretty sure that during the outage the lights were as they should be (i.e., steady green on Power, PON and LAN, LOS off),
