BT keep sending me incompatible wifi discs. I recently upgraded to broadband with complete WiFi, and also to a smart hub 3. Despite several phone calls, the last of which sounded promising as the guy said he knew the disc for smart hub 2 is not compatible and he was sending me the complete WiFi plus discs, I now have SIX smarthub 2 WiFi discs, and still have no WiFi in my bedrooms.

I really don't feel up to yet another long session on the phone - do I have any other recourse?

I think I recall seeing that BT has not (yet?) produced WiFi add-on discs that work with the SH3.
The easiest solution is to give up on BT providing these discs and buy a mesh system. The primary dish of such a system connects to your SH3 via ethernet cable to one of its LAN ports, so is not dependent on the DECT connectivity relied on by the BT discs. You normally get 2 additional discs with the mesh system and they can be positioned anywhere you want in your house.
You're then independent of the vagaries of BT's add-on discs!

You can buy BT complete wifi plus discs (the square ones) which are wifi 6 mesh, and the correct ones, from various online retailers, so they do exist. The last support person I spoke to said he had a smart hub 3 himself with three extenders so he knew what he was ordering. The problem is they say that's what they are sending, then the old round wifi discs (for smart hub 2) turn up, so something is happening between order and despatch.

Your solution may make me independent of BT, but I'm paying BT for something, so they should provide it.
