I had trouble with this yesterday after I was hacked. BT helpline sorted it for me. Looking at settings, 'Enable Auto-forward' is now not ticked, but the 'Destination' box still shows a 'greyed-out' wrong address. Is this correct ?

I don't want any auto-forwarding to happen

Go to the Auto Forwarding in your settings.

Tick the box to Enable Auto Forward. This will "open" the box with which has the email address that the hackers inserted.

You should now see a small x at the right hand side. Click on that and it will delete the email address from the box. Then click "Save".

Untick any of the Auto Forwarding boxes if they are still showing as ticked.

AAnd I am still getting this yellow box popping up when I login to email ( I have blanked out the email address )

And when I go to my email settings, and click on mail and auto-forward, I just get a blank screen

The yellow warning you are getting is an automatic security warning from BT to advise you that Auto Forwarding has been set up.

It can not be turned off. If it could be it would be by the hackers. It will disappear after a few days.

If the auto forwarding box is empty it means that the address was deleted from the auto forwarding.
