I have just updated the BT TV app on my android phone and it states that the update was a minor one to support New BT boxes coming soon. Anyone know what this new box is all about.

I would suspect that they mean new features (IP Freeview?) rather than a replacement for the Pro Box. Unless the scale of issues with the Pro Box is even larger than we see here & they've ditching it & going back to Humax?

@Anonymous that'd be good because I've noticed that the Pro Box has a tendency to lock up quite often

New wireless multiroom boxes perhaps, rather than a replacement for the pro box?

That is still the missing piece from the original announcement.

Wow. So there are no resource to address all the current issues with the Pro Box but there are resources to bring more on stream.

Actually no, & not sure what you're implying?

But I am aware that the issue with incorrect surround sound steering was acknowledged in December & supposedly prioritised. The "Ghost Recordings" thread has been running since November with no sign of a fix, & the "unresponsive" thread is over three months old, again with no resolution in sight or meaningful response.

It means that you can't always throw more resources at a problem to fix it faster - some things will just take as long as they take.

The right people working on fixing bugs doesn't stop everyone else working on other things.
