Is it possible to purchase a pro box for watching freeview and recording without taking a bt package. I’m currently in contract with another provider for broadband so switching providers is not an option at the minute. Thanks

BT don't sell them as they're not retail boxes and are only provided to BT TV customers....

You might be able to find one for sale through online retailers but these will not have been provided or sold by BT so will have no official support or warranty.

Also generally cheaper than Ebay with warranty too. Could be important if you get one plagued by recording &/or lock-ups.

Bear in mind these are owned by BT & provided on loan to BT TV subscribers. So it's possible that BT could disable a box not associated with a current TV subscription.
