Hi, im hoping someone can help me please.

I have a BT youview box (Humax T2100) which has suddenly stopped working after a power cut at my home, it is permenantly stuck on the Youview loading screen and cannot be reset, it fails everytime i try to do this with a message "sorry, selected option failed". The other strange thing is that when trying to reinstall the box to my Samsung TV (smart hub) the box now shows up as Virgin media instead of just a generic cable box like it used to?

Can anyone help please?

If you're no longer a BT Broadband customer, the Youview software will pull through branding data from your isp. With regards to the non loading, this is normally a sign of a catastrophic failure. It's possible that a surge during the power cut has caused a hard drive failure or some important data has been corrupted. Either way, the box is effectively dead.

If you're a BT TV subscriber with an active BT subscription, BT will replace the box.

If you're not and you don't, it's time to go shopping.
