Pair BT TV app

Can I pair my BT TV app with my BT TV box over the Internet (I am not at home at the moment) or do I have to be at home and connected to the same local network?

PS I want to set up a recording while I’m away

Hi @adambc welcome to the community and thanks for posting. No, I'm sorry you can't pair it remotely.

To pair to your TV box, follow these steps:

Click on Settings from the side-menu screen
Select Set Top Box
Click Next at the 'Connect your BT TV Box' screen
When your box has been detected, click Connect to start the pairing process
When prompted, press OK on your TV remote control to start the pairing. You'll see the screen below while you pair
When the pairing is complete and you see the screen below, click Done. You can now start setting remote recordings and viewing your recordings lists
