Bt pro IP mode itv regions

Good evening, I've recently come back to BTTV with the launch of internet mode, the best thing that has happened to BtTV I think. Anyway, can anyone tell me if you can change the ITV region in IP mode? The region is currently ITV London and I should be STV North, any STV region would be fine though. I've tried looking through the new features thread but it's getting a bit messy and kind find anything in relation to changing it. Many thanks for your help.

Hi Les, thanks for your reply. Ye, I went through all that step By step it forced me to do it and I registered on the ITV website and put the code in. No where did it ask me for a postcode or anything.

Is this the part that determines your region?

I suspect it is your IP address that would be looked up to determine your location at the time of setup in IP mode.

Well i don't see STV listed in

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/guide/ip-freeview-guide

which is my only source for what channels should be available.

Clearly STV is a seperate company which would be a different rights agreement to ITV if Bt were to broadcast over IP.

I had the wrong region - as did others - but they were correct last week.

Is STV still wrong today?

I have STV on IP mode.

I do remember having to put my post code in during set up.

I would try resetting again.

The box uses your IP address to determine your region. When this fails, it defaults to London - this is what you'll be seeing.
We have automated alarms that tell us when lookups fail, so we'll already be aware. Someone will manually process the update tomorrow, and your box will switch TV region automatically when it next calls in (this happens at least once a day).
So my recommendation would be to leave it as it is - it should switch to the correct region by Wednesday morning at the very latest.

Quick note to say that I've seen confirmation this morning that all ITV regions were made available as of Friday morning.
For anyone seeing ITV London when they shouldn't be, leave it 24 hours and it should auto-correct.

Do you also do Border Scotland and Channel TV in HD on channel 1? These two never appeared on Sky or VirginMedia.

Yes, Border Scotland is included. Channel TV isn't, as we don't sell BT TV in the channel islands.

Good Morning, I've checked the box again today and it's still showing ITV London and not STV North as it should be.

My activation date is today so I'm unsure if this has got something to do with it? So far the Now channels are not activated on the box or the Now TV app. However, the IP Freeview channels are working as they have been for a few days.

Do you think the ITV region will update when the service is fully activated at some point today? I also want the order to close asap so I can place an order for multiroom.

Ah OK, yes - it's quite possible that the lack of activation would cause this. I've asked a colleague to confirm but she's very busy. I'll get back to you when I have an answer.

Great thanks Darren, what time of the day does activation happen? Or can it be anytime. The digital voice and broadband re-contract has all happened. I got an email early this morning saying "your good to go". It just the TV I'm waiting on .

@DarrenDev, my apologies for contacting you again. I'm feeling a bit anxious in that something has gone wrong with my order. The Now channels are still not working and they are not working in the NowApp either.

My concern is, receiving that email this morning saying "good to go" but it's still not activated. Am I just being impatient? Previously when I had BTTV activation or changes were very quick almost instant.

Looks like you're correct - it hadn't gone through properly. It wouldn't have been picked up until next Wednesday on the weekly clean up.
Try checking for software updates now. That should get it to pick up the latest settings, and then it should work
