IPlayer - ‘precert - not for production’ on screen

Hello,

just set up my tv mini box (wired) and when I access the bbc IPlayer app a banner is across the screen saying “precert - not for production”.
I’ve factory reset the box and the same message comes up.
Anyone come across this?

I have the same issue. Software uptodate. Problem is on BT Mini unit, but is okay on Main box.

Sounds like your boxes are probably in a control group used to target them with specific software versions, and yours are still on an early trial version. If you go to the software updates screen, does it show a 4th button at the bottom, beneath Update Apps?

Same here, only the three (Done, Update Software & Update Apps)

OK thanks - we've reproduced here now too. It's been raised as a priority with YouView to speak to the BBC about why that has been added.

The fault has now been found and fixed. If you go to the software update screen and choose to "Update apps" this should resolve the issue for you. All boxes should automatically pick up the fix overnight tonight.
