Hi I have my box directly wired, but where the internet cable goes it flashes all night, any idea how to stop it flashing please

It is supposed to flash that's the nature of the technology.

When it flashes means that it is receiving/transmitting data even if it is not intended for that device.

It's on the rear of the box so you should not be able to see it.

If I couldn't see it I wouldnt have raised the post, It flashes all night and it's irritating

You cannot stop it as a setting because this is how the STB receives streaming video etc. but some options below might help -
