BT TV Pro remote

Hi i just recieved a new BT TV Pro box the remote source button does not work not even flashing when pushed was sent a new remote from BT but this is the same have tried the reset home and 9 also home and 7 the volume works ok the but does nit turn off tv with long press the set top box remote settings is on tv so dont no whats wrong its a Sharp smart tv thanks Mike

Is the Pro Box connected directly to the TV rather than via an amp or soundbar?

If it is then you just be out of luck. A lot of TVs these days aren't made by the the company whose badge they sport. I believe Sharp are currently manufactured by Hisense. So it's possible that the HDMI handshaking that identifies the TV manufacturer may be selecting the wrong code. Sadly there's no manual setup so it either works or it doesn't.

The source button on the remote isn't meant to flash.

yes connected directly to the TV must not be going to work with my tv but thanks for your hepl
