BT TV Box Pro Remote Battery problems

I have had problems with our BT TV remote using up batteries.

I put in new (Duracell) batteries at the start of March and today they are dead - haven’t even last 3 weeks! This has now happened a few times and I’m not certain if this is a ‘set-up’ problem or a hardware fault with the remote.

Has anyone had similar problems which have been resolved? Thought I would ask the community before wasting several hours of my life trying to get through to technical support.

We have the BT TV Box Pro.

It sounds like you've got a dodgy remote because we're still on the original set of batteries and we've had it over a year now

@DocCL I've had mine over a year, only just on the 2nd set of batterie's.

Obviously a lot will deped on how much you use the remote.

it could be a button stuck down or bluetooth constantly hunting. Try a reset of the control as detailed here Reset your BT TV remote | BT Help

I have a different remote, but found a similar link to the one you shared. I have now done a reset and paired again….. but I guess I’ll have to wait another month to see if the problem goes away. If not, it’s off to technical support.

We don’t use it that much to be honest, which is why it’s been frustrating.
