BT TV for none BT broadband user

Looking at purchasing a BT Pro box from eBay but wondering if I can watch live tv using WiFi mode. Just wondering if I need to be a BT broadband user for the BT box Pro to work?

Hi @Endwinad you can use the box as a normal YouView box via aerial mode, but as I understand it you need both BT Broadband and BTTV subscription for IP mode to work.

WiFi mode is only available as part of a BT TV subscription for which you will also need BT Broadband.

Please be aware, if you buy a Pro Box from any 3rd party retailers, these will not have any warranty or support from BT as they are most likely boxes that were provided as part of a subscription and either not been returned as per the terms and conditions or the original customer paid a fee to keep the box.
