Unable to Record series

OK, so I can record some series on my BT youview box but not others.

For example, Pointless will not record series but will record individual episodes whereas The Chase will record series.

I have tired the usual trick of switching the box off waiting a few minutes then switching back on. This does not work.

Any help with this appreciated

Is your box connected via an aerial @brianspringo for your Freeview based channels or are you using the internet delivered versions?

And is it only on Freeview channels (1 - 5), or others (such as AMC, BT Sport or NOW based), or a mix of both?

Only channels 1-5, not tried to record from anything else.
