My Toshiba TV finds and tunes to more than 70 Freeview channels without any problem. Working from same aerial after repeatedly retuning my new BT TV Box pro installed yesterday I can get no more than 58 and am missing some I want - eg Channel 20 Drama TV - and Channel 4+1.
How do I get the box to pick up the full list of free to air channels?
Obv I can view on the TV but then it’s a nuisance to switch back and forth and also cannot record from the missing channels….. Any ideas???

The tuners in various Youview boxes can be a bit flakey. Check your signal quality and strength via the settings. If you're signal strength is too high, it can overload the tuners and you can buy an attenuator from many only retailers for a couple of quid. This should solve the problem.

I think I have the answer. Initial set up was internet only. After subsequently connecting aerial (needed to buy a cable) it needs a factory reset to force a full retune which is not clearly explained. Reset means losing any recordings - luckily didn’t have any yet!!

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/fix-a-problem/tv-boxes/how-do-i-reset-my-bt-tv-box-

There are options to factory reset your BT TV Box Pro that preserve your recording as described in the above link.

Note that Freeview recordings made when in aerial mode will always be available to view but if you made recordings of a Freeview equivalent Ip channel that would only be viewable when in Ip mode.
