E4 not recording

My BT youview will not record E4, other recordings on other channels working fine. Did a factory reset didnt help, any suggestions?

It could be a deliberate setting by E4. At least on Freeview, there has always been the ability of broadcasters to flag content as non-recordable! I would assume that the same carries over to YouView and Freeview Play.

Is the problem with E4 provided on aerial feed or are you using IP mode On the BT Tv Box Pro ?

If aerial feed it could be a problem with a multiplex on the transmitter you are receiving your signal from.

Thanks yes aerial feed so weird shows in scheduled just never actually records and so far only an issue on this particular channel

Is it only scheduled recordings that fail? What happens if you press record for the current programme you're watching?
Also, are you setting the schedule from the box itself? Or via a paired app?

I noticed yesterday that, although the EPG looked correct for E4, when I pressed the Information button it was still showing the previous programme details. That is why mine didn't record.

I do recall Youview working earlier this year with the D3&4 multiplex people over some issues not too dissimilar to what you are experiencing. As their (Youview) community has closed I can’t look back at those discussions nor raise any questions with them.
Would suggest Bt check with Youview.

YouView have been unable to reproduce this issue.

Is it still happening for you? Which model TV box do you have?

Hi!, Same thing happened in our household last sunday (23rd), had programmes on E4 down to record, but the recordings never worked, when i checked the tv guide on the box , all the programmes were either blank or rather scrambled in the incorrect order, intresting thing is, this was not on our BT Pro box, but on a Freesat box in another room, so it seems not only youview boxes were affected by this.

I sometime have this sort of thing and suspect it is down to an old series link for the channel concerned leaving a ghost timer for a programme that has been moved or deleted that overlaps the new timer you are wanting to set.

This can usually be resolved by deleting all timers for that channel and resetting them. A manifestation of the buggy EPG/timer code when programme timings are changed by the broadcaster.
