Recording BBC Radio 4 Programmes

Hi All

Im sure it’s me doing something simple wrong but….I’d like to be able to record some of the BBC Radio 4 comedy shows that are usually on at 6:30pm (weekdays) … I go to Guide, Blue Button, along to Radio, select the programme and press record …. All I get is a message saying “This programme can’t be recorded, Please try again later”

Any suggestions welcome

Use the get_iplayer utility on your laptop. Its what I do for BBC radio programmes so I don't have to use the godawful BBC Sounds app to listen to them on my mobile phone.

I record several radio programmes every week. Some are on series link and others I set up as individual recordings via the guide. Our Pro tv box is connected by aerial mode and I’ve just done a dummy run to record a programme on Radio 4 @ 6:30pm on Monday using the method that you described and it set up the recording with no problems.

If your box is set up in IP mode i.e. with no aerial connection, that may explain why you are unable to set up radio recordings from the guide.

@Brucemeister5 The message you would get if in Ip mode on a TV Box Pro is different. It is a simple. “Sorry ,BBC Radio 4 can,’t be recorded because it’s a radio channel”

@Kap220 is receiving a different message.
