New HD Test Channel with ITV?

Was scanning the ports tonight found a new one I’ve not spotted before.

It’s going out in the clear and appears to be related to ITV.

Wishful thinking but I thought this might be connected to ITV’s FAST channels. They’d be a strong addition to the linear channels.

Perhaps. But it's only on the BT side - EE's multicast channels are still what was carried before the EE TV turn off - no Freeview channels or name changes though.

Given that they appear to be somewhat separate platforms (or at least offer different multicast services), I wonder which side will become the default. BT's is certainly more developed.

Update on the test stream - it's now carrying ITV1 with subtitles, unencrypted.

Looking at the local news, this Test Channel is the ITV Channel Islands feed.
