BT T V recordings

My YouView box has failed and requires replacing, one on the way from bt,

question, is there a way off recovering the recordings I have on it

I’m afraid not.

If all attempts at resetting/recovery have failed, they can only replace the box and you lose any recordings that are on it.

It's been a long time but great to see you again. Any recordings are stored on the box so I'm sorry but @Anonymous is correct.

SD recordings yes - pull the disc out of the box, put it in a caddy, look at it via a Linux distro.

HD recordings no - they are encrypted in such a way that they are tied to the unique ID of the box. Even if it no longer works 😢
