Wrong itv region

I am new to BTTV I have managed to change my bbc region to Look North (Yorkshire) but I cannot change my itv region to itv Yorkshire (Calendar North).

When I update the channels it asks me to choose a region

1) Yorkshire 2) North East 3) East Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire 4) East Midlands

if I choose 1 and 2 I get itv Granada, if I choose 3 I get itv Yorkshire (Calendar South) 4 I get itv Central

I need itv Yorkshire (Calendar North) I have tried over and over updating the channels but I cannot get rid of Granada.

Anyone know how I can get the right itv region.

If your using IP mode it should update itself. Check the BT TV Pro settings and check for updates.

Are you having this issue with internet delivered channels, or are you using an aerial?

If the latter, which transmitter is your aerial pointing at?

When I went live on Tuesday I had BBC London and itv London, since Thursday the box updated and I now have BBC Yorkshire and itv Granada, I am using the internet version not an aerial>

From past memory reading these forums, it seems likely it is a configuration issue.

Hopefully one of the mods will come across this and help @DarrenDev

The YouView platform splits the UK into ~50 TV regions, each giving different combinations of local channels. These cover the most common combinations, however obviously a TV aerial can pick up signals from any number of transmitters and provide you with a view that combines different regions together. It's possible that your combination of channels doesn't exist in IP mode.

Could I ask you to please take a look at https://www.player.bt.com/#/livetv/schedule

You can use the Settings link at the top of the screen to change your TV region. From the regions shown there, can you find one that offers the combination you're after? If so, then it may be possible to offer that as an option to your TV box.

I clicked on the link and changed the region to South Yorkshire, as you can see in the image itv News Calendar is showing on here but still not on the tv do I need to wait overnight to update?

Sorry, I wasn't clear - changing it there only changes it for the TV guide you see in your web browser.
So now you've changed it to south yorkshire, could you please check https://www.player.bt.com/#/livetv/schedule and confirm that it shows the channels/programmes you would expect to see?

If so, please email me at tv.apps@bt.com with your BT account number, and I'll see what options we have for correcting your TV region.

I now have itv Yorkshire (even though the guide says Granada) so thanks for your help with this.

I’m a new Bt tv customer connected via ip address. My region as showing as London and I can’t see how to retune or select to get South East. Confused.

@Timseagull from what I can see, it looks like your activation date is today. Is that correct? I can see your box calling in and failing to find your address, but this is normal until the service has fully activated.
Check your box tomorrow morning - if it still hasn't updated, post back here and I'll get your account checked.

Even though I have the right itv region now it still says itv Granada on the guide why is this never updated?

Also I have a problem with the info on the guide, I recorded a show on Alibi but the guide does not state which season or episode the show is so i had to go to Wikipedia to see what episode each recording was, why on earth is there no season or episode information I shouldn't have to go searching on the internet to work out which episode is whcih.

Where in the guide does it say ITV Granada? Is it the channel logo on the left hand side? (I'm in Scotland, so I just see "STV" without any region info).

For the series/episode information, I hadn't noticed that before. All the information is there in the TV guide, but in the recordings list it only shows the description - no series/episode/title information. I'll try to find if there's a reason why, although it may take me a while to find the right person.

@Timseagull I can see your box picking up the correct location and being provided with the correct region information now. I'm not sure if it will need a reboot to show it in the TV Guide? If it's not showing correct for you now, try a reboot and it should be OK.

Note: we're currently working on an improvement to allow the box location to be correctly identified before the activation date, to prevent issues like this in future.

I just recently noticed this - for some series you can see the Series/Episode as a separate line in the Info box from the EPG however it is not shown when selecting Info from the recorded program (current example Lovejoy on Drama) - it just shows the episode title and description - however the episode number is shown in the program details in the BT TV app from both EPG and recorded program details.

Here it shows ITV News Granada Reports when I have ITV News Calendar. (ITV Yorkshire).
