Why are there no subtitles on the Now app on YouView boxes?

Now can do subtitles on all other platforms, YouView can do subtitles on all other apps, and even on the live Now channels in the EPG.

BT must have an amazing amount of leverage with Now, and an amazing amount of leverage with YouView.

So why hasn’t somebody knocked some heads together, to get this howling omission rectified?

Because just about functional is acceptable and any other problems are the remit of the app provider.

BT should have ensured that their suppliers addressed this key accessibility issue long ago. I have raised this many times over the years.
