Overnight I've lost every single channel!

TV Guide shows an error YVM305 which is no internet, but there is internet as IPlayer etc. are working fine.
Tried ethernet & wireless and 0 channels (free & subscribed)

I've spoken to BT this morning and everything has been rebooted, but no joy & I have an engineer coming out later in the week.

Does anyone have any suggestions of other things to try?

Has your TV aerial fallen down?

I suppose it might apply to ‘No IP TV Channels’ if you have a Pro box and are running it with no TV aerial, and the IP channels aren’t coming through for some reason, but you haven’t said that.

Which is it?

Hi I had similar thing this morning. "This channel not available". I was on BBC1 I switched off the box with remote and back on. Channel then worked perfectly, I have Pro box in IPTV mode. It's not the first time it's happened.

Just a guess, is your Pro box connected to your hub via mini-converters or other powerline adapters by any chance?

If so, power them both down, wait at least 1 minute and then power them both back up again

I have had a similar problem twice now caused when a software update does not complete.

Try going to the software update in settings and forcing a check on new software. You'll probably get a message that the software is up to date. It is but it's incomplete.

I then had to do a soft reboot with no loss of recordings by the button press on the box method, NOT the on screen method.

I fixed it last night.

went to settings - software info

hit update software & it said something along the lines of completing update & restarting box

when the box was rebooted everything was working.

And a at this point I realised that when I had zero channels the icons in the settings had been the old BTTV ones.

Now it’s the new yellow ones & EE player is now amongst the apps

Thanks for all your help & suggestions

i would speculate that this sequence of events may have occurred.

The IP address that was acquired that did not match the ranges that YouView (or whoever does the daily overnight check) had for BT/EE. This would mean that the ISP Profile and the TV box presented a “retail” skin with no BT/EE channels and no EE TV player. Subsequently either the ISP data records were corrected or a different ISP address was obtained and the Box update was in fact a update to the ISP Profile.

As I mentioned earlier the apparent software update is likely to have been a change caused to the ISP profile due to the ISP address lookup not matching a BT/EE range on the data that Youview accessed which resulted in putting the retail skin on the box ie no EETV multicast channels no EETV app). So a data management issue of ISP address likely root cause. So either the records have been corrected or you have subsequently picked upon an ISP address that is identified as BT/EE.
My view is Nothing points to a problem with the box software here but rather to a data issue.
