      <title>TV box goes through factory reset every time it’s switched on</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Every day I switch the tv box on it goes through a factory rest before starting- not had it longer than 6 months - used to switch on off on no problem!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Is this &amp;nbsp;a box &amp;nbsp;supplied by BT on loan as part of a BT TV or EE TV package? If so reporting the fault to BT seems the obvious root to getting a replacement.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If it is not a BT TV package supplied box &amp;nbsp;and was acquired privately do you have any warranty from the supplier ?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Which box model is it ?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also when you say it goes through a factory reset &amp;nbsp;what actually happens when you switch it on .&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;eg do you get the maintenance mode screen presented to you with choice of options or does it simply launch into a reset ?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Are you entirely certain it is a factory reset and not recurring attempts to do a box update ?&lt;/P&gt;
