EE tv box Pro remote no longer working tv volume

So I turned on my bt tv box today and the remote was unresponsive to anything apart from on and off.

Did a check and did the home and 9 reset and remote works the bt box again but it now won't talk to my tv to adjust volume or swith tv off have tried home and 7 also but still no joy, can anyone advise please?

Dont suppose the audio is suddenly in surround mode is it?

This disables the volume control but usually pops up on the screen telling you so.

Might also want to check the TV settings and see if your link settings are still enabled, often called various things across different manufactures, HDMI-CEC I believe is the baseline standard, but you may find something on the TV also worth checking.

In addition, sometimes re-seating HDMI cables work for this issue, believe it or not!

Thank you for your guidance, I went straight to the hdmi cable removal and did a restart and now my remote talks with the TV again, can't believe it worked but it did.

No problem, glad it helped.

Its never worked for me but when ever I’ve googled it when I had problems so many folks talked about just removing the HDMI and putting it back, so was worth trying!

Try going to tv box settings and klick Bluetooth remote and check its on Set top box not tv.
