Live channels via EE TV app

Hi - I have EE TV through BT and trying to use the app to watch live channels on iPad by clicking on programmes in schedule. When I click on a programme in the schedule it gives options to ‘record episode’ ‘record series’ and the. ‘To watch this programme please switch on your TV box and tune to channel 2’ . Why is this ? Thx

I don't believe you can watch non-subscription channels through the app.

I'm afraid we don't have the rights to broadcast the Freeview channels in our apps - only the channels that you pay a subscription for. Most of these are found in the Now TV app.
