Eurosport Recordings ...

WSBk & BSB sessions recorded Friday/ Saturday wont play back - esoteric error condition suggesting Internet not connected - which it is ..

Picking a current EuroSport 2 Prog & recording for a few mins plays back just fine similary, recording the Highlights session for both events on Saturday evening was fine ...

I have the Humax 4K Box & the 'Sport' subscription via BT & things have been fine this season up to now ...

About to check if Sunday AM sessions have recorded .... [ All MotoGP Progs on Friday & Saturday recorded & played Back OK - so nowt wrong with Internet overnight Friday & Saturday ...]

Any ideas why the Box thinks things are awry with EuroSport ? Dont think its taken any updates of late ?

Do you have EE TV app on a connected mobile that gives any clues (more information) about the problem recordings ?

Is it the Eurosport 2 SD or Eurosport 2 HD channel that you were recording ?

What error code or message are you actually being presented with ?

Are you using other Youview boxes or an apple Tv box EETV app as well as the T4000 ?

No Mobile APP available.

No error code ... message in a Box saying Recording Not available due to lack of Internet access ...

No other YV Boxes, nor APPLE TV Box - just my trusty old T4000

Curiouser & Curiouser !

All EuroSport 2 recordings have worked and are Viewable - again MotoGP on TNT Sports 2 was fine ....

So what was all that about previously ... some sort of eligibility glitch ?

There would be a check when you start to access the recording that the channel is one that you are subscribed to. So any broadband or network glitch at that time or anything that would cause the channel to appear not to be setup for your box would cause an issue. Of course the isue could be in the network or at the (youview/BT) server end at the time, the fact you experienced it on several recordings on one channel only suggests to me it is probably not a box or home issue .

Probably won't want to bother now but at the time you could have fallen back on the Discovery+ app to watch those Friday sessions.

(the reason I prefer to record them if being broadcast is that it is less of a faff to skip through the chit chat to get to the next bit of actual action - especially given the glut of bike racing this weekend with MotoGP also in the mix ... not to mention keeping on top of the football, rugby and cricket!)

I actually recorded later the Highlights of the 'failed' Race recordings - so didnt miss too much ! [which mystified me a tad as they recorded & played back OK.- but it solved the problem]

Dont like the Discovery+ setup - hard to find stuff !

Easiest way I have found for BSB and WSB is to tap on Sports then scroll down to Latest Events where there will be a BSB entry and a WSB entry.

If it’s something that you watch regularly it should appear in your Watch List (within Recordings and Watch List ) and you can simply scroll along to the one that you want without having to go into Discovery+ to search for it.

Indeed so. But I also watch on my tablet or using my Chromecast dongle rather than my Youview box. And I use the app on my phone for browsing and finding what I want. Shame the Discovery+ app is not like iPlayer, Youtube etc which have their own Favourites/Watch List to help cross-device usage.
