Hisense bush TV won't pair with ee remote

I have tried with the home button and 7 but my new eetv remote won't pair to turn on and off my bush TV.

I must say I am not impressed atm as you can't fast forward ads on it itv when recorded, as I did with sky. Thinking of leaving already.

It’s probabaly because it’s an older TV you have, some TV’s don’t support Bluetooth. As for the fast forwarding on ITV you can’t do this in IPTV mode

TVs are either Bush or Hisense, but not both. And underneath, it’s probably Vestel 😛

You could try with an older model of YouView remote, where you can at least put your own codes in and try them; the Box Pro and Mini will still respond to the older IR remotes.

The remote uses Bluetooth only with the Box Pro or Mini; for the TV, of whatever make, it uses IR.

You are correct about itv.

Use aerial mode if you can, to avoid this, or you will have to put up with it. And don’t get me started about BBC programmes recorded in IP Mode 😢

It's an issue where so many modern TVs are badge engineered. During the setup process the TV brand is identified over HDMI & the appropriate IR code set in the remote. If the TV says it's a Bush when it's really a Hisense with a Bush badge, there's no way around that with the BT/EE Pro remote. Options are to buy a purely IR remote for the older boxes (RC312470) or a One For All or similar universal remote.
