Paramount+ now available on the EE TV Box Pro and Box Mini

Great news, Paramount+ is now available on your EE TV Box Pro and Box Mini. You'll find the app in your Apps section.

Subscription Details

Paramount+ subscription is not included in your EE TV package. You must subscribe to Paramount+ separately. You can sign up for Paramount+ directly through your EE TV box.

Playback Capabilities

For those with a Premium plan, content playback will be capped at Standard capabilities (Full HD). 4K, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, and Vision playback will not be available at launch. EE TV customers will still have access to all other Premium plan benefits.

Good to see the app being made available but the initial lack of 4k and atmos etc frankly is a joke.

No doubt the excuse from EE/BT is that it will take loads of more testing.

I imagine some of us work in software development and the testing should have been done before product release.

And whatever happened to Now TV 4k? Sometimes I think EE/BT see TV as a loss leader so as to sell broadband, no different to Tesco and Sainsburys selling books.

Is there a reason that yet again apps released on EETV (Youview) boxes are delivered with reduced quality and reduced functionality ?

@JordanTA There is I believe a problem when using EETV universal search which you may wish to feed back

If I use universal search on EETV box for example for Dear Santa the search results return the On Demand results - The film is actually available on Paramount+. and as such i would expect to see it listed and a link to launching it on Paramount + app but it isn't listed. The most prominent result returned is for Dear Santa on prime Video which has Paramount+ as one of its (Amazon) subscription offerings.

Thats good hopefully older boxes will get the Paramount app in time.

Although I now mostly use an Amazon Firestick for my apps. Would like to see Disney+ app come to Youview.

Genuinely comical how yet again, someone on the EE platform is of reduced functionality.

ITVX can't deliver the live streams, Now TV can't deliver 4K, no Disney+, no DAZN and now Paramount+ is capped to 1080p/DD, meaning your 4K/HDR/DV & DDAtmos-level subscription is worthless.

Pretty daft in reality!

Paramount are working to enable premium audio/video capabilities on our YouView set top boxes. EE were keen to make Paramount+ available to customers as soon as possible so they can start enjoying all the content they have to offer whilst Paramount work to deliver this at a later date.

Thanks for flagging @zulu17 This is another capability that Paramount are working on delivering. Currently, this is expected behaviour and you will need to launch the Paramount+ to search for Paramount content - rest assured Paramount are working to enable this in the coming months.

Can we have an update on progress on Paramount plus app on EETV as some EETV users are experiencing issues with the EETV watchlist when using the current app .

@zulu17 as you've seen we have now successfully integrated Paramount+ content into the Search feature so you can now search for and add Paramount+ content to your Watch List.

I will reply on the other post regarding the issue being experienced.
