Issues with controlling sound with remote control

I recently set up my EE TV Box Pro and all working fine except that I cannot control the sound via the EE remote control and am instead having to do so via the Sony TV remote. I switched from Sky where I could always control the sound with either the Sky or TV remote. Any idea how to rectify?

Firstly, what do you have Settings/Bluetooth Remote/Control Volume & Source set to?

If Set Top Box, it can’t control the volume if Audio is set to Surround (and you should get a message to that effect) so make sure it is set to TV.

As to controlling the TV, we get problems with obscure brands, but Sony should be fine. However, what model is it - is it a recent set? What’s the model number?

So - did you set it up properly, according to the instructions?

But try again. Make sure the Box Pro is on, and the TV is on, and the two are connected with an HDMI cable, and then do:-

Both steps - Home and 7 to reset the remote and re-pair with the Box Pro, and then Home and 9 to pair with the TV.

Great, manually pairing seemed to have sorted the issue. Thanks for your help.
