Pairing BT Remote to LG

Hi all. I have a new LG TV and followed BT instructions to pair the BT remote (TV and TV/AV until blue light, then code, then TV to turn on)however, although remote handset does flash (4 times not 3) the handset is not working with TV. Any ideas? CHeers

"The BT TV Box Pro remote should connect to most TVs automatically.

If yours does not pair, you can reset your remote by holding down the Home and 9 buttons until the light on your remote flashes.

If resetting your remote does not work, you will need to use your TV remote and BT TV remote separately."

Many thanks. Yes, tried that one but still no joy. Looks like it will be 2 remotes.

You could always try Home and 9 as previously described and then immediately do Home and 7 in the same way (manually puts the remote into Infra Red mode), no guarantees of course but nothing ventured and all that

I started a thread a couple of weeks ago on this. I have an LG OLED TV and the pro remote just doesn't work so I use the old one.

Would you know if it will pair with LG UR78 50 inch 4K Smart UHD TV 2023. I need to by a tv that the remote will definitely pair as it’s for my 92 year old dad in his care home …for watching his football on the EEbox.

You need to confirm which EETV box you are talking about - the Box Pro probably, but you need to specify.

I also suggest you ask in the EE community; widen the pool of EETV users who possibly have this particular TV plus the box in question, and can definitely answer.

It’s the latest box as he’s only had it a couple of months.
