&lt;P&gt;Which TV box are you using at the moment, and what's happening when you try to record programmes on Five?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Depending on the channel, instead of directly recording in some instances it will take you straight to the catch up option instead.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I normally bring up the guide, and press record on the chosen programme, no issue with other channels, but I have found that it works ok on 5+1, for some reason, but not on the 5 channel, so will continue with that for now, thanks, I have the latest, ee/bt box.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;What happens when you try to record from Five via the TV guide?&lt;BR /&gt;Does the recording icon appear but the programme doesn't save, or does it give you an outright error when you try to set this up?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Is it the same for both live programmes and planned recordings in the future?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you haven't already, I'd recommend a &lt;A href="https://www.bt.com/help/tv/fix-a-problem/tv-boxes/how-do-i-reset-my-bt-tv-box-" target="_blank"&gt;light reset&lt;/A&gt; on your TV box too.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This will reset the internal settings, but won't affect your saved recordings &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:"&gt;😊&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;This offers all the usual options, and I can access the ongoing recordings to rewind and pause etc straight away.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you've already tried the reset option that saves your recordings, I'd recommend &lt;A href="https://ee.co.uk/help/contact-ee/technical-support/ee-tv" target="_blank"&gt;contacting our team&lt;/A&gt;, and we can potentially look at getting a fault logged.&lt;BR /&gt;Peter&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Doing a full factory reset would likely solve the problem but as you have mentioned the apps would be signed out and you would loose the recordings.&amp;nbsp; Glad you have a work around that works for you, you can also use the 5 app to catch up on most things as well&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I have programmes that I always record every week on channel 5 and now I can not record any programmes on channel 5 unless you select 5+1.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did you manage to find a fix ?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks Paul&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I did a factory reset(keep recordings) and the issue has been resolved. I can now record programmes on channel 5.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a BT Pro box and when you click on the Factory Reset option it will ask you if you want to keep your recordings.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this helps ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Paul&lt;/P&gt;</description>
