Hello!

I was looking into combining my pre-existing Netflix (with ads) & Now Tv (with Ultra boost) into a EETV Entertainment package via BT to save some money. (£15 pm currently)

The customer sales rep from BT is adamant that Boost is included as part of this package at no extra charge, but I can not find this mentioned anywhere on the website or in the package details.

I'm sceptical about signing up without seeing some type of confirmation, I would have thought that if Boost was included it would have been mentioned as an additional benefit. When I also "build my own package" I see the a paid HD option charged at an additional £6 pm.

I also see Boost as a £6pm option on the same package through EE's website.

I really don't want to sit through adverts while watching Now TV and prefer watching in 4k.

Does anyone have first hand experience of having Boost on their account without any additional charge?

Kind Regards

SlothMoth

Also EETV are not yet offering Now Ultra Boost with their packages.

The advantage of buying NowTV directly is that effectively you need never likely pay full price.

Entertainment and Cinema both costing me £3.99 monthly. Sport £19.99 monthly and Boost Plus at £6 monthly.

Are they rolling monthly costs or limited time deals?

My Entertainment package direct from Now was £9.99 pm & Ultra Boost was £9.00. - These were rolling monthly contracts.

Entertainment & Cinema at £3.99 sounds fab!

You hopefully start off on a cut price offer, then cancel after the last payment has been taken. Most of the time you'll be offered another deal if you persevere with the cancellation.

Similar to @uk111, I'm currently paying £19.99 for Sport, £5 for Entertainment & £4 for Ultra Boost & have been paying similar for around five years. The only reason for paying full price to BT/EE is if you need to record live sport because you often work or otherwise can't watch live when it's on.

It’s a game.

You sign up for a month or any offer you can see around and then on your final month you cancel. They go through a palaver of asking whether you are sure, and then are you really sure, and you say yes and yes and then you are offered a retention deal.

It must stop sooner or later but I think I’ve been on retention deals for years now.

I guess I’m tempting fate by posting this …..

Honestly I have never paid full asking price for now. Thing is now apart from sports I'm really questioning my decision. Sky entertainment has maybe one good series at any given time and Sky movies is a shadow of it's former self.

Will definitely keep the sport and uhd boost for the moment (£26 combined) but jury's out on the rest.

Hi @SlothMoth

Welcome to the community.

I've been having a look through the New EE TV plans and can only see reference to Now TV Boost as a £6 monthly add-on. We don't have access to customer accounts here, so I can't see how your specific deal was built.

I think it's definitely worth speaking with the sales team again to see if they can clarify what was discussed on the call you had recently.

Hopefully they can build a deal that you're happy with. Let us know how it goes please.

I left BT TV as it was called at the time over 2 years ago and went with Now direct and have never payed full price for Entertainment and Cinema.
Im currently paying £4.99 for Entertainment and & £3.99 for Cinema a month.

Also have UltraHD Boost at £4 a month.

I dont have sport but a family member does so can go watch it there. Not that I watch much sport.

I have Netflix direct standard without ads plus extra member but I thinking of downgrading to standard with ads and keeping extra member if price goes up anymore.

I also have Prime with ads and Disney+ standard without ads and extra member.

I also use a Firestick connected to my TV.

As said EETV still dont offer UltraHD Boost
