Was there ever any resolution to this issue as I have the same problem, using both tv aerial and wireless connections to input into the TV. (to the point where I have received a note to upgrade and renew my broadband contract and am reluctant to do so.)

I don't have any problems when using streaming apps direct through the tv.

When streaming or watching live TV, the picture regularly cuts out and then comes back after a second or two.

Recording s regularly fail, I suspect this is due to an unstable internet service (oversubscribed fibre to cabinet)

The box stops taking commands from either the remote or the set top buttons

I have changed the HDMI cable and the aerial cable with no difference and reset the box far too frequently than I feel I should do for an off the shelf product.

Not sure I will get useful feedback as comments appear to largely be to point at anything other than the box itself or unresolved software issues.

Thanks in advance for any useful advice you can provide.

Got this 2 months ago and recently the screen goes black for a second then instantly restores itself. This is an intermittent fault but does happen a lot.I have restored the EE TV Box to factory settings unplugged everything but to no avail. It isn't the TV as it works perfectly well when I play a DVD.

I think either the EE TV Box is faulty or possibly the HDMI cable although I have checked the cable and it seems fine.Has anybody else had this problem or is there something else I could do to correct the fault?

Good morning @toval.

Welcome to the BT Community 😊

Does it seem to be any particular channel or service that you're using when this happens?

Also are you using an aerial for live TV, or are you using your box in IP mode?

It happens on any channel whether live or recorded and yes I use an aerial for live TV for the terrestrial channels (ITV BBC etc) and broadband for the digital channels (Sky etc).

Thanks @toval!

If it's happening with both live TV through your aerial and with streams / recordings, this does suggest it could be down to the connection between your box and TV.

Have you tried using a different HDMI cable to see if this makes any difference?

Hi @Ian_Morris1968

Welcome to the community.

You have certainly tried the troubleshooting steps that we'd normally recommend.

If that hasn't helped I'd recommend contacting our tech guides so they can look into this further for you.
