After a bit of testing last night/this morning. It's very intermittent and doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all and other times it's very frequent, seems to be more frequent on studio based programmes, like 1% club, deal or no deal, James Martin etc. Couldn't notice it on James Bond ITV2 last night. It's almost as if it occasionally struggles on frame rate and it drops dramatically for a split second. Sometimes that looks like a single frame drop other times it has a period of maybe half a second where the frame rate goes very low so it stutters heavily before returning to normal.

No link to before/after adverts. Also doesn't appear to happen in adverts as far as I can tell. Still occurs after pause/rewind so don't think it's a buffer related issue. Hard to tell with recording as would have to be recording a programme at the right time, I quickly recorded 1% club last night and on playback this morning looks like it's occurring on the recording too.

As for high regional channel (801) looks to occur on that too.

Video stutter on ITV Channels

I seem to be experiencing intermittent stutter on any ITV channel. It's not on any other channel and also doesn't happen if I watch ITV X/on demand. It looks to be some sort of frame rate issue. I have played around with the settings on the BT TV Pro box including frame rate matching aswell as anything motion related on my TV itself just in case but nothing seems to make a difference, it definitely seems to be something specific on the ITV streams. In fact when I turn motion interpolation completely off on my TV, it's more noticeable as the TV isn't trying to smooth it out. I haven't got an aerial so I can't compare it with the freeview obtained channels. Tried rebooting and also running latest software version. I can't remember when it started but it's been there a while. Anyone else have this or any solution? Could I have a dodgy box?

When I had BTTV a couple of years ago, there were other alternative ITV regions in the 800's. Could you try them, if you have them, and see if the problem is present there as well.
