BT G5 vs TV Box Pro fast forwards speeds

On the G5, press fast forward and the playback speeds can be increased through 2x, 6x, 12x, 30x etc. I usually use 6x to skip adverts. There is the experience of it zipping through the recording, with frames changing every 0.5 seconds.

I've recently acquired a (EE) TV Box Pro. I have recorded the same programme on both boxes. When I fast forward on the Pro Box, it takes a lot longer to skip the adverts when compared to the G5 at the same 6x speed. I've timed it and there is a definite difference. The on screen display also seems to be sluggish with frames changing say every 1 second.

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

BT G5 Youview box background sound issues and loss of HDMI signal on Panasonic TV

My parents have a G5 recordable box. I know its a bit old but for recording it works ok.

Whilst watching a program live through the G5 box, I have noticed a problem with the sound.

There was a radio playing in the background on the TV programme being watched. When the actors spoke, the radio could be heard, but when they stopped speaking there was complete silence - no radio in the background. To me it was obvious that something was not quite correct.

We've experienced the same with say Countryfile - when showing scenes of the countryside with no speech, there is silence but when the presenter speaks you can hear the wind and other countryside sounds.

It doesn't happen all the time but it is strange. Anyone had a similar issue?

Also, after using the HDMI for a period of time (can be upto 4 hours), the TV seems to think the BT box has gone away (although it could be playing back a recorded programme) and shows the native TV screen. We've seen the same on with our BT G5 and a LG TV but less frequently. My parents re-power their TV and it works again.

Anyone had a similar issue?
