Re: Broadband speed suddenly very slow

Is there anything I can do about my noise margin or is this something that BT need to correct?

Re: Broadband speed suddenly very slow

Do you by any chance use the DGTEAM firmware on your Netgear and alter the SNR margin?

Re: Broadband speed suddenly very slow

your internet connection uptime is only 8min and speed has improved but as I said I thought you might have a problem with a low margin.

I run on  a margin of about 2.2/2.4 so you can run on a margin of 3 if your line is good

Re: Broadband speed suddenly very slow

An update on my BT situation - I got home on Friday night and checked my router stats - not looking good!  I then found out that my phone line had died!  I've raised the fault with BT and it appears to be an exchange issue, so I am hoping they will be out to fix it shortly.  I still have limited (slow) internet connection but no phone line...

Re: Broadband speed suddenly very slow

That suggests theres a break in one of the wires.  You see as broadband only needs one wire to connect whereas the telephony needs two.  Have you tried unscrewing all the sockets, extensions and masters in the house and checking for the slightest break in any of the wires as far as you can see?
