I am using BT Fon, and the home hub is set to channel 1 and the WA701ND is set to channel 11 so will just leave it at that. Should I delete the home hub from all my wireless devices so they never connect to it to take the wireless "load" off the home hub or won't it make any difference. Cheers

If nothing connects to the home hub, then you can just leave it as it is.

 

If you have used a different wireless key on the WA701ND, then there is no chance of that happening accidentally.

Hi, connection just dropped again the broadband light flashed oragnge for about 30 seconds then came back on. Here are the stats.

 And does this mean every time the connection drops does the 3 days start again?

No, it does not. Its probably a burst of noise on the line, or someone has disturbed the connection in the exchange.

Mine does the same, usually a couple of times a month.

 

Your noise margin is very low at the moment, so that will make it more prone to disconnects.

You had a burst of error seconds, which was probably the cause of the line drop.

 

Could be some electrical interference, thermostat or similar, it does happen.

Hi, spoke to Jaimie on Saturday and he said he was going to monitor the line over 24 hours from then. He also gave me a link to a check list. I have done the checks and everything seems ok but it is still dropping connection. I have just checked and the noise margin is 1.6 and the hub reconnected about 10 hours ago when there would have been nobody home. I thought jaimie was going to ring me but it was a bad line so maybe I misheard him.

Hi, its been a week now and no improvement the longest the hub has stayed connected that I have seen is 1 day 12 hours. I hav managed to get hold of a corded phone and when I do the quiet line test I can hear a very feint static noise it stays constant doesn't go higher or lower like when a old tv had no signal. Don't know if this is normal. Cheers

Hi just checked at the test socket and its still there. Could this be the problem I don't seem to have any problem with phone calls, funniley the worst phone call I have had was with bt forum mod jaimie last saturday.
