Re: Download Speed Decreased.... Again :(

So you have no extensions.

And your old BT socket is split into 2 parts? .... broadband and phone?

I take it , it's not the new type of SSFP .... adsl v1.

Re: Download Speed Decreased.... Again :(

Okay a little update and things are looking up, my router restarted itself last night while I was sleeping.

Here are the current stats.

ADSL line status
Connection Information
Line stateConnected
Connection time0 days, 07:48:48
Downstream8,125 Kbps
Upstream448 Kbps
ADSL Settings
ModulationG.992.5 Annex A
Latency typeInterleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up)16.6 dB / 21.0 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up)33.5 dB / 16.4 dB
Output power (Down/Up)15.8 dBm / 1.5 dBm
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote)0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote)0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote)0 / 0
FEC Errors (Down/Up)193 / 1
CRC Errors (Down/Up)3 / 1994
HEC Errors (Down/Up)4 / 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote)2 / 191

Test1 comprises of two tests

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

Download Speed
273 Kbps
0 Kbps500 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 273 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 100-500 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :8124 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 350 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 19.14:28.9:51.95 (SBE:NBESmiley TongueBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Upload Speed
360 Kbps
0 Kbps448 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 360 Kbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 448 Kbps

And the speedteest hasn't changed yet

So I've got my speeds back, but I assume I have to give my profile time to catch up?

Re: Download Speed Decreased.... Again :(

3 days appeared to be the standard for adslmax but from personal experience it appears that adsl2+ can take 5/6 days sometimes longer before updating
