Re: PLEASE HELP! BT Home Hub keeps disconnecting.

Can't do a speed test, as I don't know my home number. However since, I've plugged it into the master test socket, it's been showing this error, in place of the amber error.

Re: PLEASE HELP! BT Home Hub keeps disconnecting.

Ring a mobile from your home phone and you will get your number. If it shows withheld then dial 1470 before ringing the mobile.

Re: PLEASE HELP! BT Home Hub keeps disconnecting.

Found the number out and it's saying:

System Error Image not loaded

Performance Tester is unable to run the speed test for your telephone number:01442******. Please check that it is the correct telephone number for your service. Did you follow all the instructions given on the website, before initiating the speed test. If not, then please follow all the instructions carefully and try to run the test again. If you believe it is the correct number for your service and you have followed all the instructions then please ask your Service Provider whether you can use Performance Tester to test your Broadband speed. If yes, then ask him for the Service ID of your broadband connection and try again with this Service ID along with your Telephone Number. If this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

It's definitely the right number, as I phoned my mobile from it.

I can't find a spare phone to test for noise on the line, however, I know that we've had problems with noise before. BT had come out around 2 years ago to fix it.

Re: PLEASE HELP! BT Home Hub keeps disconnecting.

Seems to suffer all year round.

I've tried everything, it all works for a day or two then reverts back to it's old tricks, most times worse.
