No changes on my end, just suddenly dropped to ~2-3 Mbs (at best) a couple of days ago and still hasn't recovered.
Have had this connection for ~8 months no real problems so far though.
Are there any general issues on the network ? (network status page not mentioning any around me)
Was the test done wired or wireless?

Test was done on wireless. Going to grab my laptop and run a wired test too and see if that changes anything (though my desktop PC has been on wireless for the past 8 months ).
It could be interference on the wireless possibly another router so doing test wired will show if problem

Wired test resulted in similar speed (just over 3Mb).
You only posted one link, searched for my exchange and that's all I could find. No issues reported from what I can tell.

Getting this error now when trying to run the diagnostic test, was fine the first couple of times:
You appear to have not logged on as speedtest@speedtest_domain. In order to run the next test you should login as speedtest@speedtest_domain.
Tried switching the router username to the one mentioned but couldn't connect to the test page anymore afterwards.
Anyway, as I said, I ran the wired test earlier and it was just over 3 Mb.
Should I be calling BT for further support ? Clearly this issue does not appear to be going away by itself and there have been no changes to my home network over the past few days that could have caused this.
I wouldn't bother trying test 3 and just run the diagnostic test and post the results with a wired connection. If the wired test is the same low speed then we can ask mods to help

Speed used to be fine in the evening as well until exactly 2-3 days ago when it suddenly dropped down to less than 20% of what it was before.
I can't seem to skip test 3, it just automatically redirects into it before showing me the diagnostic results for some reason.
Did you change the router user name back to email@example.com?
