so connection speed has now recovered to 4.19mb just a matter of waiting for profile to catch up - could be 3/5 days maybe sooner provided stable connection

Trouble is, the DSL Connection Speed keeps fluctuating between > 4 and < 0.5, meaning the IP Profile never catches up. I'll see what happens over the next few days..

are you still in test socket?  has that enabled you to maintain conenction and no drops?  if so maybe there is a problem with your SSFP although unusual it is not unknown for that to cause a problem

Yes still in the test socket, has been since the original issue was 'fixed' - still no change to my IP Profile, apparently BT are calling back this evening, so that's something to look forward to...last time, they had no clue what an IP Profile was. Love it.

has your router dropped connection as that may well be reason profile has not improved?  can you post stats from your hub?

Nearly up for 3 days, hopefully BT can sort - once they actually agreed that the IP Profile was the issue last time around, they fixed it almost instantly, it's just getting to that stage is often incredibly painful..
