as you left BT and went another ISP and are now back were you not considered a new customer and sent a new hub?

is your phone line working - dial 17070 option 2 is your number correct and line quiet
Can you do this as well. Line goes silent listen for hiss crackles and pops. Please report back findings. No noise is bad news. Noise makes it quicker. I'll explain on report.
Does your master phone socket look like any of these?

Thanks for posting the stats etc. It looks like we'll be able to move you over to ADSL2 but there might not be a lot of improvement. It's worth trying though. I've sent you a Private message explaining how you can contact the forum moderation team.
In the meantime can you try connecting the hub? Let me now if that improves anything.
