ADSL2+ upstream sync speed limited

Go to solution

Back in February, this forum solved my ADSLMax to ADSL2+ request and for over a month I enjoyed sync speeds like 1193 Kbps up, 7352 Kbps down, noise margins 6.0 dB up, 6.0 or 3.0 dB down, with modulation G.992.5 Annex A. However, on 22 March, my sync speeds changed to 444 Kbps up, 7320 Kbps down, with 26.5 dB margin up, still 3.0 dB down, still G.992.5 Annex A. Even after a few resyncs or reboots, it's the same situation 3 weeks later. It appears that some limit has been placed on my upload sync speed. I'd like help again please in solving this and returning to the higher upload sync speed, which is important to me. I'm content with the download sync speed.

My current "Helpdesk Info":

4. Board version:BT Hub 4A
5. ADSL uptime:3 days, 19:26:22
6. Bandwidth:444 / 7413
7. Data sent/received:1.2 GB / 3.5 GB
20. VPI/VCI:0 / 38
21. Modulation:G.992.5 Annex A
22. Latency type:

Interleaved

Event Log entry:

18:42:01, 10 Apr.( 113.110000) DSL noise margin: 26.90 dB upstream, 3.00 dB downstream
18:42:01, 10 Apr.

( 112.520000) DSL line rate: 444 Kbps upstream, 7413 Kbps downstream

BTW Test Result:

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 7.05 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 2 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 6.54 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.36Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.45 Mbps

A Quiet Line Test gives no problem.

Could a moderator give me the necessary assistance, please?

see if one of mods can help improve the up speed  as before they will post here but it could be 5/7 working days before they get back to you after sending the email

Re: ADSL2+ upstream sync speed limited

Go to solution

I'm happy to report a successful conclusion to this issue. The HH4 resync'd at 02:05 this morning after a TR-069 Value Change event, resulting in the desired upstream speed increase. It did require the Forum Mod to chase Wholesale but we got there in the end. Thanks, David and Neil. Fingers crossed that the problem doesn't arise again!

The WAN Event Log now shows:

DSL noise margin: 6.00 dB upstream, 3.00 dB downstream

DSL line rate: 1193 Kbps upstream, 6872 Kbps downstream

 The BTW Performance Test:

1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 6.44 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 2 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 6.06 Mbps

2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.97Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps
