Will do @JohnC2. External fault was supposed to have been fixed by 5pm today but there has been no change. Speed has now dropped to a constant 2.5mbps for the last few days 😞

Re: Actual Speed versus Contract Speed

@JohnC2

Update:

BB speed had been getting worse and worse until it was left that 1mbps the last couple of days.

BT phone engineer called today(1/12). Tested the line and could find no fault but noted there was noise on the line. As a precaution he replaced the cable between the pole and the property as it was old and showing signs of wear and may have been causing the problems. Not noticed any significant improvement so far but will give everything a couple of days to settle

Re: Actual Speed versus Contract Speed

Hi @lyn6 I've checked the engineer's report and a section of external cable was replaced. Is the buzzing noise still on your line or is the line now clear?

Also please can you post the Hub Stats as per @imjolly's post.

Cheers

John

Re: Actual Speed versus Contract Speed

If line now clear then need noise margin reset back to 6db which should give a bit more speed - attenuation still at 41.5db. Also I think at same time you need the cap taken off the up speed as it should be 100% faster - hopefully mod will sort both at same time
